TL;DR
BlueCloud was named a Snowflake Cortex Code Preferred Partner and 2026 CoCo Catalyst Partner of the Year — but the award isn't the story. The real story is what got them there: a deliberate culture shift that embedded Cortex Code into daily workflows, 90+ field-built use cases and accelerators, a measurement framework that ties AI adoption to real business outcomes, and a partnership with Snowflake that's evolved from delivery vendor to AI innovation leader. Customers are seeing faster delivery, lower costs, and same-day decisions that used to take weeks.
BlueCloud was recently named a Snowflake Cortex Code Preferred Partner and recognized as CoCo Catalyst Partner of the Year.
The real story is everything that happened before it: the cultural shift inside the company, the hundreds of hours of upskilling, the 90-plus use cases built in the field, and the strategic bets that turned a new Snowflake capability into a genuine competitive edge.
To get behind the headline, we sat down with two of the people who lived it: Abirami Karthikeyan, Director of Data Analytics, and Sanjay Singh, Director of AI/ML, to discuss how BlueCloud got here, what Cortex Code actually changes for Snowflake customers, and where this is all headed next.
Culture First, Technology Second: The Real Work Behind BlueCloud's Recognition
It's tempting to assume an award like this comes down to being early. Abirami sees it differently.
"AI is fast changing the way we're doing things every day, and at a much bigger scale and much faster pace," she said. The first move wasn't technical at all. It was cultural. BlueCloud's engineers and architects already had an accelerated way of working, built up over years of experience on Snowflake projects. The challenge was shifting that muscle toward a new tool.
"It wasn't just a technical change," Abirami explained. "It was culturally embedding Cortex Code into the way people work — how they look at problem statements, and how they approach their day-to-day deliverables."
From there, the approach was deliberately fast. Rather than a six-month upskilling rollout, BlueCloud ran focused four- to eight-week programs the moment Cortex Code became available. The next step raised the bar further: engineers were pushed to bring Cortex Code into their everyday project work, build accelerators with it, and eventually tackle full industry-specific problems.
A structured progression — upskill, embed into daily work, build accelerators, then solve real industry problems — backed by genuine investment in time and incentives. That combination, Abirami said, is what ultimately earned the recognition.
From Idea to Infrastructure: Building BlueCloud's Cortex Code Engine
Ask Sanjay for the headline number, and he doesn't hesitate: 90-plus use cases and accelerators, spanning everything from data ingestion and migration to AI frameworks and agent observability — each one built to a single standard. "These should be ready-made, easily available templates which can be used in our projects to speed up the overall Snowflake development," he said.
Reaching that scale took more than intent — it took real investment. BlueCloud provisioned a dedicated, company-wide Snowflake account with unlimited access and unlimited tokens for Cortex Code work, a decision that mattered more than it might sound.
The strategy behind that scale followed a clear sequence: brainstorm ideas, prioritize them by customer relevance and technical impact while deliberately covering multiple domains — migration, engineering, AI — then assign a dedicated project manager to track delivery daily. "This combination of ideation plus execution plus a dedicated PM closely monitoring was the biggest reason for our success," Sanjay said.
Abirami adds the piece that ties it all together: measurement. Rather than treating Cortex Code's value as a qualitative, "trust us, it's better" story, BlueCloud built a framework to track its tangible impact on effort, timelines, and quality, project by project.
"It's not just a philosophical change," she said. "It's also about giving you a tangible outcome." That clarity, she added, is what made the value visible not just to engineers, but to engagement managers and stakeholders deciding where to invest next.
Why Cortex Code Changes the Equation for Snowflake Customers
For organizations still evaluating their AI development approach, Sanjay's answer is direct: speed and self-service. "It has helped our customers speed up the development lifecycle," he said. "If they're building any products, the go-to-market time is greatly reduced."
Cortex Code's ability to stand up AI agents and chatbots also means business users can interact directly with their data — no longer waiting on a development queue for every new report or analysis. The net effect, in his words: development timelines drop, and so does the cost and effort behind every app or project built on Snowflake.
The CoCo Use Cases Making the Biggest Impact
Across BlueCloud's full accelerator library — 19+ tools spanning seven categories — that top-ranked solution per category looks like this:
- AI / ML & Cortex — SnowML360, an autonomous ML intelligence platform that's become the flagship of the AI/ML category.
- Data Modelling — the Semantic Factory Accelerator, built to get raw schemas into AI-ready semantic models faster.
- Architecture — Proactive Cortex Cost Control, catching runaway compute spend before it shows up on an invoice.
- ETL & Data Engineering — Cortex Code SQL Optimization & Validation, using Cortex Code itself to tune and validate pipeline SQL.
- Data Governance & Security — the AI Data Quality Agent, automating the quality checks that used to eat up engineering time.
- Data Migration — SnowMigrate360, BlueCloud's accelerator for compressing legacy-to-Snowflake migrations from months to weeks.
- Application Development — Profitability Insights via Snowflake Intelligence, turning raw financial data into a conversational, ask-anything experience for business users.
Seven categories, seven flagship accelerators — each one a direct answer to the question of where Cortex Code is creating the most value across BlueCloud's customer base today.
90+ Use Cases Later: What the Data Is Telling Us
With that much volume behind them, clear patterns have emerged — both in what Cortex Code is used for, and where the demand is concentrated.
On the broader trend, Abirami sees enterprise anxiety around agentic AI fading fast. "Compared to last year, this year everybody's warming up to that more. There is more proven success stories," she said. That's a maturity curve, not just a confidence shift: organizations aren't just using AI for knowledge enrichment anymore. They're automating real business operations with it. And that raises the one question that was always going to matter most: is their data even ready?
"If your organization needed a reason to move its data into a platform like Snowflake, this is it," she said.
On industry demand, Sanjay highlighted three areas where BlueCloud is seeing the most active work:
- Insurance — underwriting automation and claims processing, where heavy document processing meets strict regulatory requirements.
- Financial services — portfolio analytics, risk reporting, anomaly detection, and AI agents/chatbots built to interact directly with financial data.
- Healthcare and life sciences — agentic AI applications built specifically because Cortex Code lets teams work without exposing PHI/PII to external platforms.
- Retail and CPG — automating data pipelines and CI/CD processes to handle massive data volumes.
Layered on top of the industry picture, Sanjay flagged two cross-cutting trends: full traceability and governance built into data pipeline automation, and conversational analytics increasingly replacing traditional dashboards altogether.
In a Crowded AI Market, Why Cortex Code Wins
Every customer conversation eventually gets to the same question, Abirami said: "I have Claude Code, I have Copilot — how does Cortex Code help?"
Her answer comes down to a simple reversal. Most coding agents make you bring your platform to them. Cortex Code does the opposite — it brings the agent to Snowflake. "The level of context that Cortex Code has with respect to your Snowflake implementation cannot be matched by other coding agents, because it's native to the platform itself," she said.
Sanjay frames the same idea through governance. Because Cortex Code is built into Snowflake, it inherits the platform's existing RBAC, row-level security, and data governance automatically. "It knows Snowflake, it knows Snowflake's information schema," he said. What gives Cortex Code the edge is simple: it sits right next to your data, instead of reaching for it from outside.
Faster Delivery, Lower Costs, Measurable Results
Asked how Cortex Code shows up in actual business outcomes, Sanjay breaks it into three buckets:
- Project delivery — the overall time from development to production has dropped significantly, helped by reusable accelerators that eliminate redundant rebuilding.
- Support operations — less infrastructure overhead and faster troubleshooting mean support teams resolve issues quicker and land on durable fixes instead of patches.
- Total cost of ownership — the combined effect of the first two: lower overall cost across the lifecycle of a project.
The New Skills Cortex Code Is Creating Inside BlueCloud
Adopting a new AI agent at scale doesn't just change what BlueCloud delivers — it's changed what its people know how to do. Sanjay points to three new skills that have emerged directly from the Cortex Code journey:
- Prompt engineering — "knowing how to properly give a prompt to an AI tool, you will get the response much more accurate and consistent."
- AI agent design and orchestration — multi-step agentic workflows, tool calling, and trace analysis are now part of the team's everyday vocabulary.
- Semantic modeling for AI consumption — arguably the biggest shift. Where teams once built traditional dimensional models, BlueCloud has now built accelerators specifically for modeling data, so it's ready for AI consumption.
Two new capabilities have followed close behind: end-to-end project delivery built on Cortex Code accelerators and templates, and a newfound confidence around rapid prototyping.
That speed is what changes the decision itself: instead of picking on faith, clients can compare two or three real approaches side by side before committing — turning what used to be a slow decision into a same-day one.
Strengthening the Snowflake Partnership
For Sanjay, the partnership story comes down to a change in status. "Cortex Code has transformed BlueCloud's relationship with Snowflake from a delivery partner to a recognized AI innovation leader," he said.
That shift now has a name attached to it: the 2026 CoCo Catalyst Snowflake Partner of the Year – Services AMS Adoption award.
Snowflake's own team had taken note of the breadth and depth of what BlueCloud had built — 90-plus use cases and accelerators, all demonstrating production-grade value — and that recognition translated into something harder to manufacture: trust. "Snowflake is confident that BlueCloud can accelerate their customers' AI journeys using Cortex Code," Sanjay said.
What's Next: BlueCloud's AI Ambitions
Looking further out, Sanjay frames Cortex Code's role in BlueCloud's future across three dimensions: ambition, strategy, and how the company scales delivery.
Delivering value at scale. Perhaps the most structural shift of all: Cortex Code, in Sanjay's words, "democratizes AI development across our entire team, not just ML specialists." That means more delivery capacity, more clients served simultaneously, and compounding expertise — "each project becoming a reusable asset for the next.
The net effect, as Sanjay put it, is AI becoming a default rather than an add-on: embedded into every BlueCloud engagement, with Cortex Code as the foundation that makes that practical, governed, and scalable all at once.
See Cortex Code in Action
Recognition from Snowflake is a nice marker, but talking to Abirami and Sanjay, it's clear the real story is the work underneath it: a deliberate cultural shift, a measurement framework that ties Cortex Code to real business outcomes, and a 90-plus-use-case portfolio that's already shaping how entire industries think about AI on Snowflake. The award is a snapshot. The momentum behind it is still building.
